Refund Policy

Sherfield & District Gardening Club (SDGC)

We understand that plans change, and we aim to be fair and transparent when it comes to refunds. 

Membership Fees•     Membership fees are non-refundable once paid, except in cases of administrative error or duplicate payment.•     If you believe a refund is due, please contact the Treasurer or Secretary within 30 days of payment.

 

Event Tickets & Bookings
•   
 Cancellations made at least 7 days before an event may be eligible for a full refund.
•     Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by SDGC.
•     If an event is postponed, your ticket will remain valid for the new date. Refunds will be offered if you’re unable to attend
- except for coach trips or excursions where non-refundable prepayments have already been made on your behalf.

 

Coach Trips & Excursions
Due to advance booking requirements with coach providers and venues, deposits and final payments for SDGC trips are non-refundable.
•     Once your place is confirmed and payment is received, we commit those funds to secure transport and group bookings.
•     If you’re unable to attend, we’ll do our best to help you transfer your place to another member—but we cannot guarantee a refund.
•     In the event that SDGC cancels the trip, full refunds will be issued to all participants.
We appreciate your understanding and support in helping us plan enjoyable, cost-effective outings for the whole club.

Merchandise & Fundraising Items
•     Refunds for physical items (e.g. plants, books, club-branded goods) are considered on a case-by-case basis.
•     Items must be returned in good condition within 14 days of purchase.
•     Digital downloads or custom items are non-refundable unless faulty.

Include your name, contact details, reason for the request, and any relevant payment or booking reference.

Final Notes
Refunds are issued at the discretion of the SDGC committee. We aim to respond to all refund requests within 10 working days. This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
